Huhh? I guess, time's really flown by, recently....

Well, I did say I was going to do this.... I kinda, ended up spending half my time writing this up and the other half making sketches to go along with them. I didn't really get as much done in the remaining week, a few random ideas and sketches, but they were all.... sorta half-finished, in a way....

[SPIN] Riders, lots of them!!
Right, I guess, I'll start with the Project Spin updates first, since they're much simpler. Much of the work here was just spent on only developing the Riders. I haven't really touched on the plot, characters or anything else much since last time, but I have thought up some slightly weird reasons to put in a few Rider Vs Rider fights.
  • The Organic Rider - In my last post, I revealed the name as B10. Well, since then, I sketched down the ideas I had, including a fight scene, and.... well, I sorta added, a card system.... I know it doesn't sound like this will work out well, but I have thought it through, so it sorta makes sense. Oh yeah, one other thing.... while I was re-drawing/designing the helmet, I was playing around a bit and I've somehow ended up re-naming this suit to B-X. (Well, it's still B10, just a bit cooler sounding, I guess....)
  • The Armoured-Tech Rider - I haven't begun making any proper designs, yet. But story-wise, this one is probably the most firmly rooted into the plot itself, but I kinda always do have at least one plot-Rider in each series....
  • Orbital form - This was something I've actually been thinking about for some time, but only more recently, have I properly visualised this concept properly. At first, I was also thinking of introducing another Rider with extra-terrestial origins, but the only thing special about him at the time was his belt gimmick. There wasn't really anything else that special about him, so I kinda integrated that random idea into Orbital form, which actually fits a lot better than I first thought it would.
[SR3] Project STK still won't die, I guess....
Right, this could be the more important announcement in this update: Project SR3 is going to be the continuation of the STK line.

Ironically, it was my original idea on how to definitively cap the STK ending that led to this. In my last update, I mentioned going back and playing around with the idea for Ek. Well, one thing kinda led to another, and I ended up putting in a lot more detail than I had expected. I guess, this was more of an opener in way, as it mainly sets things up for the rest of the series.

At the moment, I'm still considering the direction of the plot ("If it even HAS any!"). The main purpose so far, is to experiment with and showcase many of the more random ideas that either had no place in or were too dis-jointed from the main stories in STK and BLAZE. So things are a bit of a mish-mash. It's also more of an emsemble cast, than a series with a focal character, although I do have someone in mind for that role....

Anyway, this what I've planned so far:
  • Even though Ek was meant to end the former series by answering one of the last questions that popped up in the ending, it also re-starts things because of coming in contact with a certain someone....
  • The Henshin PAC has actually become (slightly) relevant again! Ok, I'm partially using this series as a playground to bring out those unused ideas for it, but so far I've found that this situation is much more suitable to do so. It also feels like I'm running a rivalry between it and the Gyo-Core from SPIN.
  • The extended Gekkou powers are being worked in to at least, form a mini-arc. I've changed things slightly from the original concept and it actually makes more sense to have them around than in the original idea. ([Gekkou! Fusion! Ike!])
  • A story that focuses Ray-Z, mostly. (Darn those Sawano's!)
  • Eri's going to be replaced by.... Eri!? This will make more sense when I get round to it....
  • On a related issue, Eri's future fate is also going to be revealed.
  • Also, as a running joke carried on from SPIN, guess who STILL isn't dead? (An under-aged looking 100+ year-old really makes no sense!)
  • This opening scene looks familiar....
  • Two certain characters are starting to act like nothing more than a pair of immature school-girls....
  • Even I haven't decided how legitimate this claim is, but one person could have been responsible for the way everything's turned out so far....
  • Double, Dynamic Dimension-Hoppers!!
It does kinda feel a bit too over-ambitious to be planning this already, since the original STK series hasn't officially got off the ground yet....

So, that's the main news done, here are a few minor bits of progress I made along the way:
  • [FLR] It's a good idea to watch what you're eating....
  • [FLR] How to ruin a cool entrance.
"Why does THIS never happen to Eri?"
  • [FLR] " Ta-da! Hotaru Rider, ikimasu!!"
  • [FLR] Mental relaxation class? Is it even possible to hi-jack someone else's flashback?
  • [FLR] Lost and found at the most inappropiate times....
  • [FLR] Mushroom-rage is serious business.
  • [Misc] "I'm positive that you can't inherit THAT."
  • [EDG] Fleshing out some origin stuff.
  • [RTS] Ritsuki's gone too far. He can't belittle Batman's character like that!
Ok.... I think, I've got down everything I was going to say. It's become a lot more wordy, than I thought, so I think I'll end it here and leave the more recent progress for the next update. (I hope, I'm not going to start making a habit of procrastinating like this.)

Too.... much.... exploding-ness.... My imagination's becoming a walking combat zone....

I kinda, re-wrote the intro to this post over the weekend.

Ummm.... I still haven't quite got the hang of whether or not this is considered ironic.... but, well I guess, I should start from the beginning. I wrote the joke in the post title about explosions in my head, just under two weeks ago, based on one of the following updates about exploding trees. By a kinda, big coincidence, I did have a sudden burst of ideas for two of my projects at the very end of last week; so what I wrote in the title, could directly refer to that, even if it was unintentional. Well, this "ideas explosion" was too last minute to be put in this update properly, but check below for a bit more info:
  • [SHF] Sketched out a few more (shifty) promotional images for Project TAMASHII.
  • [Misc] I don't know what drove me to do this, but I've kinda designed and named Ek's three core modes: Photon, Luna and Energy and an intro-fight scene. Well, the only problem is they'll stay as un-used ideas....
  • [FLR] How about a glass of orange-gunk?
"Ummm.... you think, it's safe to drink????"
  • [FLR] Never swing tree trunks too hard, they'll spontaneously combust.
  • [FLR] Made some intital sketch ideas for the Guardian HQ "makeover". Also, Ritsuki needs to eat....
  • [STK/Misc] Mugen Su-chan??!! Ummm.... I'm not sure where this idea came from.... (Ultimate Photon Buster Canon!)
  • [EDG/STK/FLR/Misc] Ummm, that's wierd. Ek might not be as unused as I thought. Just came up with a little idea involving Ek, Ryo, Eri and possibly a minor cross-over. I just can't stop doing this to Eri, can I....?
  • [STK] New! Muteki Gattai, Saikyou Gekkou Ken!! I feel a bit guilty for making this up....
  • [STK] Made a quick idea-sketch for Shade's debut scene....
  • [STK/FLR] A few days later, I kinda turned that joke into canon, somehow.... I'm sure, Su-chan hates me now....
  • [FLR] I'm sure nerve-endings are meant to be able to feel pain, aren't they?

Ok, the latest stuff is still very fresh and disorganised(in my mind), so I'll need to sort them out for the next update. I'll just try and summarise the most important parts as an overview:
  • [SPIN] Quite a few developments for the bio-suit Rider from SPIN. I'll just reveal the silly pun-name and get it out of the way for now: B10. I think I deserve all criticism the I'll get for this one....
  • [STK?] The future of STK(not Ek, well, kinda).
  • [FLR/Misc] Oh yeah.... there's also, the usual Shimi-dumbness, as always....
Well, it shouldn't take me too long to write up. I guess, it was just a bit of a hassle to cram them in over the weekend like that.
